Ford Power Stroke diesel trucks have been around for a long time, and we have been diagnosing and repairing issues that are common to these same trucks for almost as long. Over the years we have encountered all common issues and failures with the PowerStroke engine family, such as the 6.0.
Many of our customers have had all the basic 6 liter troubles such as failed head gaskets, failed HPOP, failed IPR valve, clogged oil coolers, ruptured EGR coolers, blown turbos and more. Here at legendary, it is not uncommon to see a Ford Super Duty with the cab off. We do everything from basic PowerStroke maintenance to repairs known as full blown BulletProofs!
When we perform a full blown BulletProof, we use the best head gaskets, ARP head stud kits, coolant filtration systems, billet oil cooler kits, and billet EGR coolers/or delete kits. We address everything that needs to be during the teardown process.
We offer a lot of these same services for other Power Stroke engines like the 6.4L that are very similar to the 6.0L but with a compound turbo system that is known for early failure if not properly maintained.
We are no stranger to Fords new 6.7L PowerStroke either. These engines are a completely different breed of PowerStroke. With completely redesigned fuel system, the exhaust manifolds are now located in the valley of the engine allowing the turbocharger to be almost directly mounted on the exhaust manifolds. This reduces turbo lag and boosts efficiency.
